Supplying Hotels, HMOs and Serviced Accommodation With Storage Bed Bases
Hotels, HMOs and serviced accommodation operators buy bed bases the same way retailers do — by the pallet — but ask different questions. Here's what matters for a room-based order.
On this page
A hotel refit, an HMO fit-out or a serviced accommodation setup isn’t a retail order — it’s a room count. The pallet structure this range is sold on happens to map onto that directly.
Why a pallet of 30 maps onto a floor of rooms
One pallet holds 30 frames of a single size. For an operator planning a refit or fit-out by room count rather than by retail unit, that’s a straightforward way to think about quantity — a pallet per floor, or per block of rooms, rather than working out a retail-style order in ones and twos. Sizes can be mixed across pallets by arrangement, so a mixed-room refit doesn’t mean ordering a full pallet of a size you only need a handful of.
Storage under the bed instead of wardrobes
An ottoman bed base’s lifting frame turns the space under the mattress into storage, which is a genuine space saving in rooms where a full wardrobe isn’t practical — a common consideration in HMO rooms and compact serviced accommodation. We don’t publish an internal storage volume, since that depends on mattress depth and how the space is used, but the lifting mechanism itself is standard across the range and detailed on each size’s product page.
Sizes that actually get specified in rooms
Single and Small Double cover the room sizes most often specified in HMO and budget-to-mid serviced accommodation, with Double and above used where rooms are larger or aimed at a higher-spec guest. The full size range with dimensions and pricing is below if a refit spans a mix of room types.
What you are buying and what you still have to specify
What’s supplied is a welded steel frame, assembled lifting mechanism, gas springs and slats — the structural base, finished in black structured powder coat. Mattresses, headboards and any fire-safety documentation for the finished, furnished room are outside what we supply and are specified separately by you or your fit-out contractor; we don’t hold or provide contract compliance certification for the bed base itself, so if a project requires it, that’s a conversation with your own supply chain for the furnished result, not something to source from the frame manufacturer.
Delivery to a site rather than a warehouse
Refit and fit-out deliveries often go to a live site rather than a goods-in warehouse, which makes the unloading question more pressing, not less — a pallet weighs 800–1,000 kg and needs a forklift or loading dock, and a live hotel or residential site doesn’t always have either on hand. Confirm the unloading method as part of your enquiry, alongside sizes and quantities, so it’s accounted for before the pallet is dispatched. Full delivery specification is on our delivery and terms page.
